This is a great sauce, it is simple and has multiple uses for any sort of barbecued meats it is oven stable and great to just brush on to any cooked chops, burgers and sausages etc, with the addition of Tabasco it can instantly be made hotter.
1 Prepare the barbecue sauce by putting all the ingredients into a small saucepan and bringing them to a boil. Turn down the heat so that it just bubbles a tiny bit and simmer it, stirring to ensure the sugar dissolves and the ingredients combine to a smooth sauce, simmer gently, until it's dark and thickened, 5-10 minutes, should do it. Allow to cool and use as required
